About Keepsake Music

Built on friendship, family and a love of music.

Two lifelong friends who believe a song can hold a person's story like nothing else can.

Our story

Keepsake Music was founded by lifelong friends, Tony Deutsch and Will Barton, who have shared a love of music for over 40 years. Growing up together, music was always more than just a soundtrack—it was a bridge to memories, emotions, and the people who shaped their lives. Certain songs could instantly transport them back to their youth, reminding them of moments, places, and relationships that meant the world to them. Over time, they realized this wasn't unique to their own experience—music holds this power for everyone. It sparks nostalgia, carries emotion, and connects people to the moments and relationships they never want to forget.

That understanding became the foundation of Keepsake Music. Will and Tony wanted to harness the emotional power of music and help others create meaningful, lasting tributes to their loved ones. They believe music has a unique ability to honor, remember, and memorialize those who have passed, but they also understand that creating something so personal can feel overwhelming—especially during times of grief. This inspired them to design a simple, compassionate process that allows families to share their input without burden, while Keepsake Music carefully crafts a personalized memorial song that captures the essence of a loved one.

To help families find this gift when they need it most, they work alongside funeral homes, hospices, churches, and grief counselors. Through the Keepsake Music affiliate program, these trusted caregivers share a personal code with the families they serve, and those families receive a special discount on their song. Keepsake Music handles the details—from gathering memories to creating and delivering the final song—so families can receive a heartfelt, one-of-a-kind keepsake that will last for generations.

Tony Deutsch

Tony brings a deep passion for storytelling through music. With a lifetime of listening, learning, and creating, he has seen firsthand how melodies and lyrics can express emotions that words alone cannot. Over the years, he has crafted many songs for loved ones and is excited to share that experience with others. Today, he combines his creativity, his understanding of people, and the use of modern music tools to help families turn memories into meaningful songs. His thoughtful approach ensures that every Keepsake Music tribute is not only beautiful, but also deeply personal and respectful to the memory of each loved one.

Tony has been married to his wife, Christine, for over 20 years. Together they have four children—three daughters and one son—as well as a grandchild. He receives his greatest joy from spending time with his family—whether it's having dinner together or going on a nature walk, he loves talking with his wife and children about everything under the sun. In his free time, he likes to stay active, especially with the latest craze of pickleball, something he can enjoy with both friends and family. When time allows, he and Will often sneak in a round of golf. On quieter days, Tony finds comfort in music or in getting lost in a good book—sometimes diving into something new to learn, or enjoying the fantasy novels his eldest daughter introduced him to.

Will combines creativity with compassion, drawing on decades of experience in both business and community service. For him, Keepsake Music is more than a company—it's a calling to help families find comfort through the healing power of song. Will has been married to his wife, Amy, for over 20 years. Together they have three children—two sons and one daughter—and are proud grandparents.

When he's not working, Will's happiest moments are spent with his wife, their three children, and two lively dogs who keep the house full of energy. He loves exploring new places through travel and treasures the simple joy of creating memories together. A true Minnesotan at heart, Will is an enthusiastic supporter of his home teams, with hockey holding a special place in his heart. When the weather allows, you can often find him on the golf course, enjoying a good round with friends.

Family ties

Two families, one shared story

Not only are Will and Tony close, but their families are as well. Over the years, the two families have celebrated milestones, walked through hardships, and created countless memories together. Amy and Christine share a deep friendship of their own, and the children of both families have grown up as friends. This strong bond between the families is part of what makes Keepsake Music so personal and heartfelt—it's built on shared values of love, family, and connection.

Let's create something they'd be proud of.
